With the unique ministry and community that Expedition is part of we wanted to create a website that would not only provide information on the ministry but also be an online experience reflective of the Payson lifestyle. Because we had first developed the brand to take a rugged approach we determined the website should also do the same. The idea of an old journal that a user could actually flip thru the pages of as they learned more about Expedition was a challenging but very intriguing concept.

As you can see in the interactive example below, the pages work as they would in an actual book. You are able to actually grab the bottom corners of any page and flip thru them. We custom designed each page and included little details to make the pages appear more worn and faded. We tried to create the perspective of a hiker sitting at an old, worn bench reading thru the journal at night over a Coleman lantern. If you listen closely you will hear crickets in the distance! You might even see one jump onto a page as you are flipping thru.
